What We Do

Sports Therapy

Using sport to build resilience, discipline, and self-belief. Children develop physical strength and emotional tools that carry them beyond the programme and into life.

Sport is one of the most powerful tools for youth development. For children who have experienced trauma, instability, or exclusion, structured physical activity provides more than exercise — it provides structure, belonging, role models, and a renewed sense of purpose. The Esther Dankwah Foundation's Sports Therapy program uses athletics — particularly track and field disciplines aligned with founder Esther Dankwah's Olympic background — as a vehicle for resilience-building, emotional regulation, discipline, and self-belief. Participants are coached not just in sport, but in how to apply the same mindset to every area of their lives.

  • Structured athletics training and competitions
  • Resilience and mindset coaching
  • Mentorship from experienced coaches and athletes
  • Life skills integration through sports participation
  • Pathway programs connecting sport to education and employment
